to in silico generation of hypotheses about genes' participation in biological processes

Recent developments in high throughput analysis of genomic data, most notably the so-called microarrays, open completely new ways of investigating living systems in health and disease. Combined with the wealth of data generated by various genome projects and the growth of published work, a challenge of unprecedented dimensions has been created for the biologists, mathematicians and computer scientists alike.

In this mini-course we introduce methods of processing this kind of data and knowledge. The course will be self-contained and all the necessary biological and technology details will be presented.
